    Foxtel Footy Shows

Does anyone know when On the Couch commences and which channel it will be on?

Friday Night footy will be on the special events channel.

League teams starts this thursday naturally on Fox Sports 1 at 8:30 pm.

Just did a search on the Foxtel online guide. On The Couch will be 8:30 Mon 2 Apr on Fox Sports 1.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Will there be any serious footy shows on FTA other than TFS (if you can call that serious...)?

I'm still @@@@@@ off that there's no White Line Fever. It would have been ideal for Fox Sports News in the evenings.

Just found in the TV Guide that 9 will indeed be starting a serious football show from next Monday night.

It's called 'Footy Classified' and will be hosted by Wayne Carey with Caroline Wilson, Gary Lyon and Craig Hutchinson.

              10:35 pm
              Channel Nine
Footy Classified (60 mins, Rated: M)
              Genre: Sport

Football is set for a shake-up when the games biggest names and agenda setters lock horns on Footy Classified for a provocative look at the AFL. One of the games greatest players, Wayne Carey, joins football writer Caroline Wilson, commentator Garry Lyon and AFL editor, Craig Hutchinson, to tackle the sports burning issues.
This is an AFL state only program, Channel 9 aren't even bothering with a 2am replay to Sydney.

Foxtel should be airing AFL chat shows this week! So far, not so good.

I agree. It's wall-to-wall rugby league on Fox of a night. Footy's not getting much of a look in. Preview shows should have been happening this week for sure. It's a real shame about WLF not returning. Maybe they could have brought it back a couple of nights a week or something.

The production costs of WLF must have been too enormous to bear.

League teams is on Thursday but I know what you mean - the loss of WLF has left a large hole in my life.

I was under the impression that Sydney was getting the Friday Night game live. The Foxtel guide does not have it live. Can someone clarify this.

The Friday night games that will be shown live into NSW/Qld will be shown on Main Event channel. This is because Fox Sports 1/2/3 have a national schedule, so with the NSW/Qld areas getting separate programming, it had to be accommodated on another channel.

This had me stumped, because I was under the same impression as you however the online guide and the printed Foxtel guide imply the 11pm replay is it. I thumbed through the printed April Guide and it was just the same, so I turned to their little preview section on Page 16 and found (can't link to a source as it's not online) "...fans in the expansion markets of NSW, ACT and Queensland will, for the first time, have live access to the Friday night game through FOX PLUS [518]."

SO I guess that's the answer. Doesn't help much if you're at the pub and have to try and talk the publican into switching over to 518 but if you're a home viewer that's your answer!
