Magic - and modest with it.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Makes you wanna give him a big hug. Will be a sad day when he retires.

I remember last year there was some discussion here about Mick's celebration of that goal. Surprisingly, I remember a few here who were less than complimentary of the moment.

It's cool to read his take on the moment. I've watched that game, that quarter, several (read dozens) of times now, and I stil get so charged up by that moment, and that player. It'll go down as one of my favorite memories of the game and the player.

It was just one of those spontaneous moments in sport, and re-told pretty well by MO'L, who had good cause for celebration, he'd had a pretty good game too. Subi's been such a house of pain for us over the years it was huge to get one back on them, over there, even if we didn't go on to win the flag ( ).

Though imagine how Banfield must have felt at the time for punching the ball pretty much directly towards goal ( )

It pretty much just came off hands, it could have gone anywhere. Takes a lot of luck to win a game by a point - but try telling that to an Eagles supporter....
