The biggest most high-profile home & away footy match in Sydney in years, and....

You wouldn't even have a clue it was even on at all.

(the "official Newspaper of the Sydney Swans")

    Welcome to Sydney peoples!

JF (smashing my head again a proverbial brick wall )

PS:- Apologies to everyone who has already posted on the same thread at Big Footy. I'm bloody mad about all this.

I disagree on this one mate. There has been more coverage thanks in large to WCs pre season. I did not see the SMH today but there was a fair bit in the Telegraph particlulary playing up the rivalry.

Good coverage in the paper version of the SMH.

barry hall was on the front of the SMH. So i wouldn't say there was nothing.

What drugs are you on? There is more hype for this game than any round 1 match in Sydney in recent memory.

looked through all the dailies - herald, terror and the aussie.

nope, not a thing about the cheersquad.

it's almost like they don't care....
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Thee is no need to be facetious mate.

I'm commenting on the fact that on the website of the "Official Newspaper of the Sydney swans" you would not even known we were playing. This is my beef.

Do the Telegraph only like hyping us up when it is finals time & there are no NRL games it is competing with.

                  This is in today's version.

Nothing much new in there, but am intrigued by what formula Ms Tugwell used to come up with

the fourth-most talented side in the competition winning a premiership

Probably meaning that we finished fourth in H&A season, but won the premiership afterwards.

sorry, posted while drunk. you're right, there's not been much fanfare - possibly just impossible to break through the static of cuzzo the snowman.
