May not be the most talented footballer around, but he has a great attitude. His style of play may come unstuck on occasions, and will be exposed at times, but at the moment, he's riding high on confidence carried over from the GF.
I too thought Teddy was in our best tonight. Hard to really judge the rest - the backline worked hard, but also shared the ball around alot without really giving us the run we get when we play our best.
Thought Ablett tried hard and did a few good things and will be better for the run.
Apart from that, not really very much to write home about.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
He did alright, but his initial opponent Brown did get a fair bit of it.
Yes, and that's what I meant about "his style" that will come unstuck on occasions. He leaves his opponent to win the ball and drives it back to our forward line. If he'll just be a stay at home type player, we will see the ball stay longer in our backline line, and more than likely, more scoring opportunities will present themselves for the opposition. At the moment, Richards is winning enough of the ball to be effective offensively while doing an OK job defensively.
i like his attitude since the half way mark of last season, i think it comes with confidence of being a permanent senior footballer. It showed through the finals campaign last year, great addition to the bloods.
