    Thanks for the game lads

Thanks for another quality nailbiting game fellas!

Full credit to your boys for fighting back from over 5 goals down and making it another 1 point thriller!

I seriously though we had no chance today and had actually tipped you guys tonight and then when Embers and Coxxy were late withdrawals it made me think you would win it more for sure so i pretty much cant believe we won it without Cousins, Cox, Embers, Niko, Hansen and co.

Thanks for the game and the great rivalry continues!

All the best for the rest of the season!

Got to hand it to your boys, even with all the @@@@ in the media, it can sometimes make a side fight even harder.

I can't ever like Cousins or Hunter or Kerr, but full respect to Judd. That man is a machine, and even vaguely likable too.

Enjoy the win, with the dumb footy we played, your lot deserved it more for sure. I hope we smash you in the return trip, but again, well done tonight

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Well done mate. To win with so many players out is a testament to the depth of your squad. I thought Seaby was immense tonight against the duo of Everitt and Jolly.

No. I am over it. I have had enough of this rivalry doesn't add anything no more but unwanted stress and high blood pressure and always ends up me having an argument with the missers who tells me to calm down and get over it.

SO hopefully this is the last time its this close. I would rather lose by 10 goals the way we played tonight than loose by less than a kick again.

Well said abnout Seaby - Had to ruck on his own all night and IMO had the better of both Spida and Jolly....Its great to see as he had a pretty poor pre-season and needed to get some good form. And he did!

Great we played him into some form tonight. Sydney are good at that.

IMHO the Eagles deserved to win by more tonight. Although the Swans had plenty of chances and could easily have won the game with some decent kicking, the Eagles dominated early and made the most of their opportunities. Thought Worsfold and his team outcoached Roos and his team - didn't give the Swans the open forward line which usually results in the Swans being more effective.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I can't agree with you there Mike. I thought we absolutely dominated the 2nd half and without some poor kicking for goal we would have won it. The Eagles were spent and if the match had been 5 min longer we would have rolled right over the top of them.

Same as last year's GF - can't only show up to play for half a game or put faith in ability to overrun a team. The Eagles just made the most of their opportunities and they took full advantage of our poor football in the first half, and were the beneficiaries of it in the 2nd.

Just finished watching replay and IMO we lost because of very poor kicking.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

I have to agree with you there, bad kicking for goal and our foot skills were well down.

Noticed a lot of guys looked slimmer - not as bulky but at times I thought we looked slow.

                            Cheers

I thought the first half was a bit boring/dissapointing but the brilliant crowd of 62500 were treated to a thrilling last quarter of football. The only negative after that last quarter was the fact that the Swans were 1 point behind.
