    Roos laments early lapses

The coach says the Swans gave away too many silly free-kicks and easy goals to the Eagles

Yeah, blame the players, it wasn't the coaching at all

Does Roos actually make any matchday moves?

He actually lost his cool at the end when Phillips was given that free kick (I assume he thought it was the other way?).

The only coaching problem I saw was the use of Goodes. We really missed his run and carry and loose ball gets.

The problem I see is with the future selection of poorly performing senior players.

Why did he get a free kick? I can remember two different things that happened down there in like the same position that he was involved in but i can't remember which one he got a free from.

IIRC was for the player using the elbow to fend off Phillips

It was. I can't see how the free could have gone the other way - legitimately anyway. The way other frees were being plucked from innocuous situations maybe added some doubt. Initially I thought it was a HTB decision against Kerr, which I thought was a bit tough on him. But saw a replay last night and Kerr did make contact high to Phillips in the fend off. One advantage of being the smallest player on the ground!

I thought it was a clear free kick - Kerr tried to fend off Phillips and stuck his forearm into Phillips' throat.

A clear free and if it were Hall, a striking charge too.

If you watch the replay - Spida does almost exactly the same to Kerr (as in payback). Wouldn't be surprised to see either of these "elbows" cited by video match committee.
