No influence on the game, except to take a great overhead mark and then kick his obligatory point.
And here I'm thinking he might have spent his summer doing goal kicking practice after his brain freezes in the grand final.
We've gone from the most accurate goal kicking team in the premiership to the least accurate in 4 years.
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
At half time, our group thought he must have been injured coz none of us had seen him on the field. It was a bit of a shock to see him in the forward line in the second half.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver. The Scarlatti Tilt - Richard Brautigan
I thought it was a very sad performance from Jude...did they ever run him out of the middle or was he permanent half forward? I thought we were very lucky to get within a point. Certainly did not deserve to win despite a few umpiring decisions.
Generally, the need for new blood in the midfield was very obvious & unless Jude turns it around quickly he can't be retained. Bravery alone doesn't cut it in 2007.
I thought Fosdike was also poor...got the ball a bit, but as last year, his disposal is often poor.
Perhaps I imagined it, but several times at the ground it looked like our blokes gave up on contests for a loose ball.
Leo is a light of others days...unless they can find a place for him up the ground (& I'm not sure he has the pace anymore) I think he is now a passenger (as he often was last year). He is beaten off the lead every time.
Richards continues to improve, Malceski must be given more responsibility.
Can we beat Richmond!
The Kirk game is diminished by his lack of kicking skills...but he gets it a lot more than Jude most times. Jude needs to lift considerably from game 1 to warrant a game...he was worse than invisible. I admire him but he has not fulfilled his early promise of greatness.
No argument about Dempster...but he can kick!
Okay, so a lot of people would be happy if JB was dropped (I'm on the fence ATM). Who would you have take his place? Schmidt?
That the issue isn't it. If there is someone in better form then he should have a stint in the magoos.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
