Kirk played pretty well, but you can't compare the quality of the disposals.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I think you're being a tad unfair on Kirk there. He is a completely different kind of player to Judd and Kerr. He has nothing like the flash factor. But that doesn't, per se, make his disposals less effective. I don't recall many possessions going astray from Kirk last night.
And while not taking anything away from Kerr and Judd, they definitely benefit from playing alongside each other (and alongside another certain player, when he's there). They frequently get multiple possessions in the same sequence of play, feeding off each other as they free up space. Kirk doesn't have the luxury of playing alongside the same quality, and rarely gets multiple possessions within a single play.
My main criticism of Kirk based on those stats is that he seems to have been playing for both sides!Comment

I think the most impressive part of Kirk's stats were his 8 tackles, a good tackle is every bit as important as a good kick in my books.
Did Tadhg really take 13 marks? Thats huge!"Red and White for blood cells, Red and White for wine."

No, but Judd's possessions tend to make things happen. It's not that Kirk's are bad, they just have less impact than Judd's. Some players are more creative with more of their possessions and others on occasion and others are more basic.I think you're being a tad unfair on Kirk there. But both of them also frequently go in and get their own ball and then make something happen with it.And while not taking anything away from Kerr and Judd, they definitely benefit from playing alongside each other (and alongside another certain player, when he's there). I don't expect Kirk to be able to either of those things and I'm not marking him down because of it - just observing that he is not in Judd's (or Kerr's) league.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I have to disagree with you there... Kirk might hit targets from time to time, but if he does it is usually (by foot at least) with a floater and rarely puts the receiving player in a position to play on quickly. This is something that a number of our midfielders are guilty of, Kirk certainly isn't alone. Watch Brett or Jude with their quick kicks out of stoppages and then watch Judd or Kerr. Brett appears to have learnt his limitations and plays within them, but that can have a fair impact on the team when he gets 25+ disposals but can't take the best possible option the majority of the time because his skills just aren't up to scratch.I think you're being a tad unfair on Kirk there. We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment
