...was a long time ago. That, in my mind, was the day that Sydney decided that we did not need a fullback, that Leo, and C Bolton and others, could play big. I am not going to be as hard on Leo as others have here (though I thought he was ordinary Sat night but he does have those nights) because overall he does a pretty good job, as does Bolton and increasingly Ted, but, since that day at the SCG there have been two pretty important rule changes, or at least changes in the way two rules are interpreted, that have a pretty big impact on smaller defenders. Was Leo's day out on the man in the tight shorts ultimately a bad day for Sydney. Was this the day it was decided that the big full back was no longer required? Is it now that big fullbacks are more likely to be important, where body holds body rather than atleticism defeating lumbering mass? Is Jon Hay worth talking to - I'd say yes, worth talking to certainly. I also think that we need a big back - why not look for a ready made one. It is probably easier to get his head right than it would be to construct a full back out of Jolly...

I think that was the week when Fraser got blotto with Lawrence at a bar in Moorabbin the night before, crashed his car and had a massive dose of the flu.
On Jon Hay, sadly for him he appears to have gone to the "other side" and all the talking wont make a lot of sense to him. It really would be a disaster for Hay if he tries a comeback. Surely you wouldn't waste a draft pick on him.Comment

Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

He spent time at full back during the pre-season. We have 3 ruckmen. I am not suggesting that it is a good idea, but simply that it may be easier to get Hay's head right than it would be to create a full back from a ruck man, or bigger bodied player that is not a full back. Perhaps you should read all of the post, or at least try and understand sentences in the context of the entire post.Comment

You note that I cannot be serious, pfft and say that a suggestion (that was not made) is laughable, but get antsy if I criticise your interpretation of my post. If you read the entire post and came to that conclusion then you are stupid. I was being charitable assuming that you had not read it all. I will not make that mistake again. I did not suggest that Jolly would make a good full back. The crux of the post was something entirely different. You seem not to understand that.Comment

You dont like it if people criticise your posts either and i am not stupid. What you did say was...So IMO with that comment you threw Jolly into the mix and the crux of the post was,do we need a big body defender?Every body interprets post diffrently and that was just my opinion.Comment
