    SCG light towers go missing

I was thinking the same thing on my way home past the SCG last night.

Reading between the lines of this article, you get the impression that the relationship between the Swans / AFL and the SCG Trust is at an all time low...

i wonder if we'll now be able to move more games to telstra if we choose to of if the contract forces us to play a day match at the scg if they offer it.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

We will all be asked to donate a Dolphin Torch each to light up that side of the ground, it is the SCG trust we are dealing with here so as stupid as that idea sounds, they would probably consider it and they dont have to pay for it either. (yes I know stone me now!)
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Drove down Driver Ave. last week and noticed Tower 4 sitting in the carpark. Seems like nice work from the Trust yet again.

we were thinking the same but wanted to arrange a little Velcro attachment so the torch could sit on top our heads so we looked like coalminers

According to the AFL website, all is fine for the night matches this year with a crane to be installed above the hill and tempory lighting on the O'Reilly stand.

                Swannies for life!

I find it amazing the lack of co-ordination between the SCG Trust and the Club. One day you will all turn up and the seats will be missing, the SCG will say "We thought the concrete would suffice"

AFL needs to step in and tell the SCG to grow up.

SCG night match will go on

The Swans' first night match of the season will go ahead despite the removal of two light towers

As with Wardy's suggestion, everyone should bring along a torch, just turn them off every time the Dees have a shot on goal.

I find this whole scenario quite ridiculous - dangling lights from cranes - whatever the SCG says is crap and no consideration for anyone but them.

Lets ditch them and go to Telstra or play a game during the day.

AFL needs to wake up and get realistic and take a stand against the Trust.
                        Love those Swans

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Having dealt business wise with the SCG trust in the last few years, it is like dealing with children, in fact I feel that you would get more sense out of children. The Trust think that they are untouchable and treat "outsiders" with complete contempt. Its their way or no way and bugger the rest of you, thats pretty much their motto.
Although I'm surprised that they hadnt slapped a heritage order on the light towers, that is the kind of stupid thing they normally do.

Might be a idea for everyone to bring a torch, you never know when the temporary lights will go out.
