    Longmire to go?

    Thats what Carey wants, anyway.

Swans my focus - John Longmire

Longmire said his first thought when he read the comments was that he had to concentrate on his job in Sydney and the Kangaroos had to worry about themselves

The roos are certain wooden spooners with Thompson out. My bet is that Laidley will get the sack and Horse will take over .

Amazing all our assistant coaches from the 05 premiership may all have left this time next year.

Why would Horse want the Roos ? No money, no facilities, no future. Even a great coach would struggle there. Could be a end of his career. I'd stick with Sydney and get a succession plan from Roos.

He might want to live on the Gold Coast.

Hmmn, that would be getting on a hiding to nothing. The next Sydney coach faces a very tough challenge, the replace the favourite son. I'd be looking elsewhere, it would be like trying to replace the dead spouse.

Wouldn't be too hard if she had plenty of life insurance.

I hope he doesn't go, he's the assistant coach we really don't want to lose I think. He's probably the man for the job when Roos goes - regardless of whether you think the new coach will be on a hiding to nothing or not. I mean, it will be a tough challenge as you'd expect us to be rebuilding by then, but I would cautiously say Longmire is the current favourite.
