Well done Spida, did well in the ruck, got ~20 touches and kicked a couple of goals. A real team effort from our boys despite missing many opportunities and letting the Tigers back in the contest. Mathews actually doing something for a change.

Big concern now is Hall. Why he continued to play is beyond me. After that shot on goal during the 2nd quarter and being constantly beaten by Gaspar, he should've stayed on the bench at half-time. Hope it's not too serious though.

Tony Shaw annoyed me to no end. I think if you mentioned the umpires are applying the holding the ball rule differently this round once, that's plenty. I don't need to hear about it endlessly throughout the broadcast.

Well, we certainly were rusty. Times when we needed to move the ball forwards - dempster chip turnover, but should have used his artillery and hoofed it long.

Agree on Grundy. He looked too slow last year and that game was lamentable. I hope to be proved wrong but the bottom line is Vogels would have been a far better option today.

I think the commentary was woeful...Shaw & the other bloke (not Lynch) just bore me to death & are full of inane non-incisive, repetitive comments. If this is the Foxtel standard we are in for a hard year.
Despite some comments here I find it hard to draw much strength from this ordinary victory, except that we lost the first 2 last year.

matthews played very well & b2 was fantastic against richo.
the backs carried the whole team in the end.
