There is a correlation between early and late season form for the Swans - not that we will play better in September but that we will play well. However, it is based on too little data to be conclusive, and correlation doesn't necessary point to causality.

Assuming that is the exact formula that gets us there and assuming also that it won't change.

        ...
We are looking good for Round 3.
Richmond are traditional fast starters (and so is Wallace). I thought we were ok yesterday. As I said elsewhere we look a lot better than we did 12 months ago. We have not had a straightforward run through the preseason either with injuries and team stability - not that we have had a bad one either. I thought we looked ok yesterday without looking fluent. That said, I thought that it was good to win a game that should have been won without too much fuss. I never had that "oh @@@@" feeling yesterday.

The game against Brisbane could well be a cracker. We will have to play better - will be areal challenge if #1 and #2 are missing.

Agree, but if you look at the team now as opposed to last year and the year before I think we are actually playing better at this stage of the season than those two years.

Looking at results so far, the comp seems to be more even this year with teams such as Port, Essendon and Brisbane all looking stronger than first thought.

I get the feeling this year is going to be tougher to crack a spot in the 8 than in previous years.

And not to mention that most teams have had all summer to work us out. I have a feeling that there won't be many easy wins and more close finishes than previous years.

Yep, agree with all that. Makes the improvement in our 'second tier' players of critical importance.

Does anyone know if the Swans match is on live on tv this weekend ?

I was supposed to go to it but I am at home sick with flu and I want to watch them anyhow

Where do you live? If you're in Sydney, it will definitely be live on FTA. Not sure about rest of the country?
