Swans better get his contract sewn up from here to retirement. Mal is rosk solid.

My biggest fear is Melbourne clubs crawling all over him for big dough as soon as 2008. He's a gem and will be demanding big cash by years end.

Anyone got any mail on his contract renewal etc?

Bugger the contract, I just had $3 the win at $1001/1 and $2 the place at $251/1.

Big chance he has polled in both games.

Also had $3 X $2 on Spida at $61. Was at odds of $126.00 last week.

Now this bloke is a Tiger's supporter who still reckoned he couldn't play before the game. Didn't say a lot after the game after the rest of the boys got into him. Clarkey now plays 2's for The Basin in the far Eastern Burbs of Melbourne, or is it Seville in the hills. Still he swears he was better at School.

I think he has been quoted as saying he 'aint going anywhere. Besides the system doesn't allow the big bucks to come into it. His trade value is too high given the hysteria about recruiting "kids" as against trading away draft picks.

I am not 100% but I am sure he signed a new contract last year (while ROK was telling us he was going to Hawthorn).

If that takes him until around 2009 we have a swag of blokes on their way out that year more than likely, that will free up a fair bit of room in the cap for us to throw some money his way.

I tried to find some information on this but could not. He was drafted in 2002, which means he was tied up for 2003 and 2004. I believe he got a one year contract in 2005. So I imagine he must have gotten a new contract for 2006, and it would have been longer than a year. He would then either expire this year or in 2008.

                    G-G-G-G-G-Gun!

How would he be polling for B & F atm? He will certainly be in the top 4 if he can maintain his form which i know he can.

To think he has just played his 30th senior match and putting his stamp on matches with authority is amazing.

                    Let the Eski love continue!

Easily in our best 5 players IMO.

                      A definite gun.

Me too. Has the best kick in the club. Would be up there with the top left footers in the league already.

The thing I like about his kicks is that they are generally very low & bullet-like which is better for marking forwards (compare his kicking style with that of Darren Jolly & you'll see what I mean).

That goal from outside the 50 was an indication of his kicking prowess. It didn't look like much off the boot because its trajectory was so low. But the ball just kept coming & coming.

The Eski, IMO would be the no. 1 player NOT to let go. I would trade anyone before the Eski.
