Although it could possibly taken with a grain of salt, my grandson spotted Nick Davis as we walked from the ground after kick to kick today.

He asked Davis how his foot was. Davis replied 'It's good, I'll be playing next week'

Now considering Joshua didn't ask him when he was playing again, just a simple 'How is the foot?', the volunteering of the extra information about ready to come back next week may be significant.

Height isn't everything, and Davis more than makes up for it with his skill, Grundy isn't ready. Crouch will make a major difference to our performance when he returns, but i'm not sure it'll be next week.

Was that Crouch's first game back? If so then he'll definitely need to wait another week. I didn't know about the reserves' bye again next week. That's quite bad timing.

Grundy should be allowed to get his touch in the 2s, as he's not offering much at the moment. Davis to come in for him if fit.

He's not useless. Did a fantastic stopping role on Sherman. He just needs to be released at some point into attack.

I thought Dempster's first half was pretty good. He was getting a decent amount of ball as well as limiting Sherman's influence. There were a couple of errors, but nothing heinous within the context of a game full of tackling and pressurising.

Dempster is anything but useless, we were talking about how good he has become whilst watching the game. One of our more consistent defenders, I enjoy watching him play.

Just seems to be the new Benny Mathews when it comes to decision making. Useless was a bit harsh. He just appears afraid to back himself and looks like is stagnant in his football development. I love seeing him use his 60-65m bombs into the forward line on the run, but he doesn't seem to want to.
Bombing long into the forward line is not an effective style generally, but when a kid has a booming kick like Dempsters it can really be a benefit. Just use the bloody boot God gave you!!
