What I don't get is that my kids watch the biggest loser, and they drop the sh word all the time.
    At 7:30pm
How long until they are saying the C word in prime time?

If someone told me that a recorded show would allow the sh word at 7:30 10 years ago I would have laughed.

Which is why I find RWO censorship a bit silly.

I mean this is the internet, not free to air TV.

As for the team mates laughing at the use of the word in the acceptance speech.
I would definitely be one of those snickering and laughing about t if my mate had sworn on national TV.
I think most here would too.

I can't believe that some RWOers are finding excuses for him. I saw the incident on TV and he was grinning from ear to ear as he walked back to his laughing mates. Another arrogant WC smart arse who thinks he can do and say as he pleases.

        I agree 100% - I think it's pretty unnecessary, personally.

I agree too. I don't have a problem with whatever is on after 9.30, that is the designated time for adult (read non-children's) content on tv. If I don't like what's on then I turn it over, but that sort of language in prime time is unacceptable IMO.

. . . and during an ad break in tonight's episode of The Biggest Loser (at 7.25pm!!) Channel 10, whilst advertising the Comedy Festival called the comedians 'Funny B-words'

            Can they do that?

They've been doing it all week with those ads. It's amazing how much standards have dropped in the last 5 years.

It's interesting to note that it was the AFL who fined Braun, not the club. It appears that the club cannot or will not discipline it's players.

It's the reaction to the incident rather than the incident itself that's grating at people. I can remember Sam Backo (former Canberra Raiders prop) accidentally swearing when interviewed straight after a match and he was so immediately contrite it was easy to forgive him. Braun had several minutes after the match before the ceremony, and the word itself was used in the last line of a speech rather than as some kind of spontaneous outburst. He didn't look at all embarassed or remorseful as he walked off the dais either. It doesn't matter what he thinks about whether it's appropriate or not, he's representing his club, a club with an image not far above manure at the moment, and he needs to do whatever he can to lift it, not lower it even further.

Yep - I think that is a fair point.

We need a club that will properly trash WCE, in order to stop them being so arrogant. We had a chance and blew it and it's time for some other team to try it. Until then we'll have to endure their cockiness even longer.

Do you reckon Chris Judd, who appears a pretty decent sort of bloke, can't wait to get out of this environment at the end of the year?

I reckon they won't see him for dust as he speeds back across the Nullabor.

Mind you, I thought Selwood appeared a decent bloke, but this cancerous culture looks like it has claimed him as well.

Yes I hope so. I'd hate to see a champion like Judd's reputation tarnished because of this mob.

Those thoughts have crossed my mind to, the BS that is going on there must be difficult to stomach for the decent blokes, like Judd, that are in the club.
