Tim Schmidt - NAB rising star?...

If Tim Schmidt doesn't get the NAB rising star for this weeks game, then there is something seriously wrong with the nomination process IMHO

I suspect hype will dictate it goes to Hawkins at Geelong. To be fair to Hawkins, so it may well be more than hype. I know he kicked four goals, following on from three last week.

Schmidt was handy but not dominant. Normally a player needs to string a few of those performances together before they get a nomination.

I would have thought Hawkins deserves it more.

If Schmidt plays a ripper next week against Adelaide, i'm sure he will get it then.

        Hawkins this week easily.

The Tom-a-Hawk will win it this week and be the overall winner I'd suggest.

          He looks a real gun.

He got some possession and kicked two late goals but I thought his execution wasn't the best. He was pretty scrappy in some places, particularly his hand passes.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

I thought he was pretty good for a guy who has played <10 games. I'm pretty sure he had a few clean disposals on the wing in front of us in the last quarter that impressed me, apart from the 2 goals.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Game was pretty scrappy all round anyways. Schmidty got some vital clearences and was at the right place for both of his goals.

Let's hope Moore gets a chance to find his feet in the seniors as well.

Some of his kicking was scrappy, but I would put that down to nerves. He is generally a good kick.

The slowest player on the list.
Anyone see him give chase on in front of the members and get burnt by one of ours and a Lion? Has a big ass slowing him down...
Great hands in traffic and seems as though decision making will continue to improve.. not a bad possibility.

Hopefully he can be our own Sam Mitchell in the end. Big arsed accumulator/extractor of the ball who has a quick brain.

Brent Prismall (Gee) should get the nomination this week. 23 disposals 6 marks 3 goals

dad and I have both been impressed with his last 2 games, not only kicking goals, but at times being the link man in setting up scoring opportunities.

I was quite pleased with Schmidt's game, he certainly knows how to get his hands on the ball. But I wouldn't think he gets the nod, in fact can't think of many (any?) Swans nominations in the last 3-4 years.
