It would be interesting to see the free kick tally. It felt something like 70-10.

      Crouch should not have played.

Grundy has done nothing for 3 weeks.

      J.Bolton is offering nothing.

McVeigh should be in the ACTAFL.

Not an ounce of intelligence between the entire side - why keep kicking it to Hall when he's surrounded by 4 Crows and hasn't taken a mark all night??

Aside from the goal kicking - I didn't think we were that bad. Crows are an outstanding team. Once B1 and Kirk started winning some ball we were back in it - just no forward options. Jolly had a good game and thought Schmidt earned another week. We are missing Davis badly as a genuine option up forward. ROK and Tadhg were outstanding.

Umpiring did not get any better.

Only positive was O'Keefe, and to some extent Malceski. Kennelly tried all night.
Craig Bolton was carrying an injury, so he is excused.

          Other than that little positives.

          Hold their heads high:
          O'Keefe
          Malceski
          Kennelly

          Consider a stint in reserves:
          J. Bolton
          Grundy
          McVeigh

          Everyone else:
A deadset kick up the arse, tell them to wake up to themselves.

I thought that the umpiring was equally crap. We got a few we shouldn't have.

Where the @@@@ was Everitt, or at least some relief in some form for Hall? We aint very flexible.

Got what we deserved. Nothing. Spraying easy shots. Insipid first half. Giving away sloppy free kicks. Poor distribution. Lack of basic skills. Sound familiar?

Are we starting to believe our own publicity that we're still the best team in the comp' along with the Eagles? A long way from it...

A lot of soul searching from all at the club this week I hope.

Conversely I don't think the Crows were that good offensively. They were terrific in their pressure but so were we. If we had kicked as straight as they did, its a 1 goal margin either way.

My sentiments as well. They were kicking it in too high and with too much carry so Hall had to prop and this gave Rutten a chance to spoil. They need to get it out in front of him so he can run onto it.

Our kicking skills are still so up and down - Adelaide's ball use was alot better, well always appears that way...

Well, hammo I disagree on one thing, I thought Crouch was OK considering it was his first game for 9 months or so. Not good, but showed promise in his ability to pressure the opposition.

Mc Veigh possibly shouldnt be allowed within the 50 - jeez he started the rot.

Does anyone remember when we were the MOST accurate side in the league? What the hell has happened since then?

Well Vogels was given one chance and did more than grundy has in any of his three chances. Otherwise I guess we wait for Davis.

The next time we play Adelaide Roos should just stay at home. Give the gig to Longmire. A 1-7 record against the Crows is appalling and surely shows a lack of imagination in the box.

How tight was it in those packs?????? It was intense in there and was one of those games where the luck just kept running the Crows way...but I suppose that boils down to skill.

Things I learnt from watching that horrible game.

                            1. Lucky our players are so autonomous because Roos is not a very good gameday coach. There were a host of positional changes that could have been made but were not. Horrible performance by Roos.

                            2. Buchanen is over-rated (even before he did his knee). Occassionally he does something creative but too often he creates a turnover through skill error. I have been on to this for a while now.

                            3. Ben Mathews does have some redeeming features to his game. McVeigh is the new Ben Mathews.

                            4. Reg is not ready for it. 5. Hall is injured and even if he isn't (which he is), Rutten is a better full back than Bazza is a full forward. Why oh why did Roos not move him to the centre half forward line (he is fit isn't he?).

                            6. Our forwards have fallen into our old bad habit of leading to the pockets and our midfielders encourage them by kicking it there. What is the benefit of dinky kicks from the 55 metre mark to the boundary at the 45 metre mark (or am I missing somethign)

                            7. Goodes is having a horrible year.

8...and to end on a positive note, Malceski, Kirk, ROK and to some extent Jolly (well for 2 minutes) tried their guts out.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

I cannot believe how much the commentators go on about how good a game it was. I thought we were crap, Adelaide were marginally better, umpiring was crap and game was just dreadful to watch. Football played like this is boring.
