I am sure I am not the only person shaking their head during the game for the amount of times we cleanly "gave " the ball to the Lions...does anyone else think it was to do with the jersey's being so similar. Maybe next time we play the lions we should wear out alternative white jersey and test it out because too many times did we just kick or pass to the opposition.

Agree with your comments Woo. The number of times we fumbled and turned the ball over was comical at times. However, that is in part a testiment to the Lions intesity and pressure at the ball and ball handler.
I think Paul Roos said something similar in his post match comments, when he said our fitness was very good but now we need to work on the skills...or something to that effect!Swannies for life! -
The jerseys did seem similar to an extent yesterday. I thought the Lions may have looked more distinguished with white shorts rather then their maroon ones.Swannies for life!Comment

I laughed when Roos was quoted as saying that skill levels are poor when we kick to an ump. I don't recall that - does anyone else?Comment

To some extent i agree with you Woo.
But the fumbling and turnovers were mainly caused by the intense pressure Brisbane Lions had applied. It was that sort of congestive man to man football style from both sides. Brisbane Lions played pretty well and had forced the Swans to make some skillful errors.Kirky is everything you want in a Captain

That happened right in front of us. I thought he was "conned" by the opposition calling for the bal, rather than confused by the kits. But it cost us a sure goal. The look on Schneids face immediately afterwards was priceless, which was why I thought he'd been suckered. A little less self berating and more chasing is what I would have liked to have seen. Not a Richo style dummy spit; more a momentary lapse. But in tight games these little things can make the difference.Pay peanuts get monkeysComment

I think it just shows how we're still fine tuning our game. We seem to have the fitness - vastly improved on this time last year. But our one-touch play just isn't quite there yet. But just think on all those times we almost broke the lines. As the year goes on more and more of those plays will come off. Considering how poorly we've played I'll take 2-1 no questions asked.Comment

I was annoyed with our runner in the way in Q4 - very annoying as so close to an inside F50.
Agree with Royboy on the 2nd effort chase that should have followed.
Tuco is also right - by Q4 we had some very nice slick handball chains and once again it appears that our superior fitness across every player was telling. We were one down on the bench and still looked fresher and younger than the Lions.Comment

Schneid's reaction was similar to when he missed the goal in Q1 of the 2005 grand final!Comment
