The boy was great again tonight, it was too painful to watch the entire match, but from what i saw Malceski just kept making it look easy, but his efforts went unrewarded due to general sloppiness and brain explosions by most of the other players. Who knows what will happen between now and september, but the Eski already deserves so much praise, he breaks the lines and just plays logical, fast football, and i can probably count the clangers in his career on one hand. Thanks Malceski, if only you were our kicking coach too.
Eski, let me buy you a beer.

I thought he was one of our best but I dont share your platitudes re his kicking. He put players under a lot of pressure in the first half with handballs to players clearly covered in the midfield when he should have kicked given the enormous pressure. I thought he had forgotten how to kick.Comment

I totally agree with you in regards to him playing really well and I think he is blossoming. In saying that though, he still does have a ways to go with some of his decision making as Nico says. I have noticed a few times over the last couple of weeks where he has made great runs through the centre only to handpass to someone who is totally stagnant who then turns the ball over. I agree with you RE his kicking...just wish he would use it a little more when making those blistering runs through the centre.Go you mighty BLOODBOYS!Comment

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Eski is something special. But if you're buying him a beer for his performance on Sat night, you should buy ROK a whole slab. Absolutely incredible effort; possibly his best performance for the Swans ever, and it has some tough competition (e.g. 2005 PF v St Kilda).
Referring back to ROK Lobster's 'attacking from the rear' thread of earlier in the week, he played most of the game marginally on the attacking side of the middle of the ground. Given that he virtually got leather poisoning, for a HFF to have not a single shot on goal that I recall (and even comparatively few inside-50s relative to his clean possessions), says a lot. In terms of old-fashioned field placements, ROK is basically a marking wing... who works so hard he frequently helps out in defence as well. The guy has the lot.Comment

O'Keefe was indeed awesome against the Crows, his fitness is unmatched and he's got a great football brain too. Unfortunately though, he probably deserves a slab and a bottle of something i can't afford lol.Comment
