We've seen AFL players swear during matches and even toward umpires (with 50m penalties against them) time and time again. Is there even a point to this thread or is this just "passing the buck"?

I've written to the AFL asking for a $3,300 (incl GST) salary cap exemption so that MOL may have counselling and rehabilitation on the issue. He will sit down with the umpire, who will explain how hurtful the comments were and the damage that it has done to his self esteem. MOL will be made spend 3 hours in the Pitt St Mall wearing a "I swore at an umpire" T-shirt and be made do 5 primary school visits to explain to the children why it is bad to swear at umpires.
I think you have underestimated the cost of the counselling as remember MOL will need to take along a club representative and a family member. You also didn't take into account Cost of Living factor for Sydney based counselling. Overall tho' I'd say post of week.
