Disappointing we didn't bury them. They showed a lot of fight after the 1st qtr.

Some good signs from Schmidt and Moore I thought.

Goodes looks likely to be cited.
Gee you're a hard marker. Maybe if we kick 32.8 and win by 100 points, you'll be happy

Top win to the boys, at a price, imo. Knocked The Yips out of the ring early and often, overcame adversity and a resurgent Melbourne in the 4th qtr, 49 pt. win early in the season is good enough, percentage-wise.

The injuries don't, at this point, sound like anything toooo season-ending. Watching Tadgh go down on TV close-up, in slow-moe, youch. Good opportunity, before the pointy end of the season, to "blood" some yoof, but.

"Spida" was a whereswally (again) tonight, how's S. "Bigfoot" Doyle travelling? If Mt. Everitt doesn't lift by the Port game, will Doyle be fit?

Thinking about number 9 on yr "real" team, methinks.

You thought it was good? After quarter time, we only outscored them by two goals for nearly the rest of the game (until the final second) and they have a virtual reserves side in. That's just an average performance in my view.

We're not exactly fighting fit at the moment either. No Buchanan or Dempster, Kennelly, who is having his best start to a season, missed most of the second half, and Hall, Goodes and Crouch are all underdone.

Maybe the reserves side should've played against the Dees tonight.

                      Leg's top-10 synopsis

                      1. Schmidt is impressive - he is going to be a 100 + game player
                      2. Ditto Moore, but needs to get more touch on his kicks instead of booting the cahoolies out of it
                      3. Malceski is an out and out gun. If there is a more accurate penetrating long distance pass going around, I'd like to know who it is
                      4. There is something wrong with Goodes, even before he @@@@@@ his shoulder and rubbed himself out for next week
                      5. Spida Everitt is the slowest player in the competition - like watching treakle through a straw. I think he'll have a mixed season - good and bad, but not necessarily consistent.
                      6. Crouch has lost some pace and thinks he's faster than he is - got caught a few times tonight
                      7. Jolly has some talent in the forward 50 - he is a good kick for goal
                      8. McVeigh appears to be a purely negative player and is actually reasonably good at it, but will never justify his high draft position.
                      9. Nick Davis is incredibly valuable to our team. The forward line seems to function better when he is around.
                      10. Barry Hall can't prop and pivot on his knee at the moment, but can do everything else perfectly well, as long as it is in a straight line. he actually looked better for it at times - running straight at the ball and actually attempting to mark it with both arms up instead of wrestling and knocking the ball to ground.

A game that was generally pretty ugly to watch but was punctuated by some electrifying passages when we got our act together.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Our injuries just do not compare to the Dees. We should have buried them.

Also, did anyone else think that was Leo Barry's best game in a long time? Not having Robertson and Neitz helped him. He was pretty much a loose man and had some accurate disposals and inside fifties I thought.

Pfft, Sydney never bury anyone, ever. I'll take it! The Demons haven't been good all year, even early on when they had less injuries, so.

I thought it was a bit of a disapointing win to be honest. Nice to win, and there was a bit of percentage boost with it, but I think we stuffed up an opportunity to win by 100 points plus - Melbourne were beyond pathetic, so undermanned, sometimes their players looked totally lost, yet we still managed to match them when we felt like it.

Anyway 3-2 after 5 rounds is a very good thing - biggest positive was the goal kicking tonight IMO and Davis looked great when he had the ball.

Much better kicking!!!!! Happy with that. I was a tad worried about tonight.

I was thinking that exact thought Deadly. I can't remember the last time we really buried someone for 4 qtrs. Maybe Richmond last year and their midfield nowhere near quality of Dees.
I like Legs summation. Schmidts clean hands tonight were nice to watch.
Goodes won't go for a week surely? Even if it was reportable, wont make the points and he as a clean record. Clearly doesn't look right tho.
