    Reserves result

Read on BF that Sydney led 117 to 1 shortly before 1/2 time? Did Canberra make a spiritied comeback?

They'd have had more opposition today playing against a set of witches' hats.

Still have to admire the discipline of the team when it would be so easy to take the foot of the pedal. They all looked absolutely exhausted at the end.

For the first time in history I barracked for the other side in the second half.

Would seem to be the perfect replacement for Kennelly.

Bucky for Ablett if he does not come up.

Not sure who for Goodes if his shoulder is stuffed, but I get the feeling it may have been the pain killers that rendered his left arm useless in the second half.

We seem to have very good seconds players if you judge them by their wins.It is impossible to know how these guys will go in the seniors unless they are given a chance as they are getting no real experience of good quality oppositions. Some of them played seniors before coming to Sydney but others obviously didn't.Players like Laidlaw,Thornton,Brabazon are a couple who come to mind as being good continually.Grundy did well last night with 8 goals but this is misguiding if you look at the number of goals the team kicked.
We have a real problem here. These guys need some REAL opposition.

The Wildcats are the club formerly known as Weston Creek, who will suffer similarly sized loses against Belconnen and Ainslie. The club nearly folded. It changed its name in the hope that no one would notice they were the previously crapola side known as WC.

Remember this name. A very excited young teenager had his first official run in the seconds yesterday and did himself proud.
