    Heath 'Reg' Grundy

Yeh fair enough Grundy had a slow start to the season, but has everyone forgot that he came back early from a back injury and was his first hit out since last year!
I think he is just starting to get his for back with a good 8 goals in the two's.
Another thing a lot of people have forgotten that he was not drafted to play forward, he was picked up for a backman, so he has done well to change the selectors minds.

Umm. No. I think most of us knew he'd been injured after putting in a solid pre season, until struck down by injury. But that doesn't give reason to why he barely sighted the ball in his 3 games so far this year.

If he was still suffering from the injury, he shouldn't be in the seniors.

That is about the fourth thread he has either started or participated in in favour of grundy.

Kicking 8 goals against the Tumbarumba under 12s doesn't really mean a lot...

          Not far off...

As i have played with heath growing up in the juniors at norwood, it wouldnt b a bigger deal if he went into the middle as he is a very good reader of where the ball goes and where to go when hes got it.
Nick Davis is a very predictable player which isnt a good thing for the swans, where heath grundy is full of surprises.

In the first few weeks in the seniors this year it was a surprise if he got the ball, and even a bigger one if he did something with it.

That being said, I think he has plenty of talent, and a spell in the 2's should be good to restore both his touch and confidence.

Reg was left down forward for virtually the whole ressies game. This in itself was unusual - normally they rotate the FF possie so a few blokes get a chance for glory. Yes, he got plenty of touches, kicked 8 goals, did the team things when called on. Also had a high clanger count. With the amount and quality of the ball coming down, plus the poor opposition, any of half a dozen other ressie players would have done equally as well, if not better in the same situation. I reckon somebody decided he needed a confidence boost.

Can you imagine if Grundy would have played instead of Davis in the preliminary final? He wouldn't have got one of those important posessions that Davis got for us in the 3rd quarter.

Anyway, we all know the story with Grundy but regardless of whether you think he was rushed in or not he didn't do enough.

Yeah 8 goals out of 29 is only 27%

Equivalent to 3.5 goals in a 13 goal score. Good, but not great.

It was actually 8 out of 39 goals.
