    All hail the donk

The greatest Donkey ever to play footy is quietly building up his fitness in the 2's and set to again strut his stuff on the main stage.

Over the years we've seen tantalising glimpses of how good he is. I think his best game of 2006 was the GF where he nullified Cox who was carving us up against Jolly.

One of my favourite Swans fringe players, but now its a bit harder to grab a ruck spot, lets hope he can push his way into the team somehow.

cox was tearing jolly a really wide gaping hole in every department on GF day.

doyle rucked solidly, drew the contests back to 50-50, but couldn't go with him around the ground.

cox good first half, 2nd dried up a bit.

Doyle played well at FF during the reserves game. Time to unleash him at the dome against an undermaned StK defense.

It's true. They lack lions as well as height. The nearest they've got is Brett Voss, who's related to a Lion, but he's playing up forward at the moment.

Doyley might get lucky just yet...I think it is almost time for Spida to have a seat in the stands and figure out if he actually still wants to play footy.

he has done his job and was one player who put his hand up saturday night and worked hard. even showed a surprising speed burst in the third or fourth quarter. Why would he deserved to be dropped?

I can't agree. The only good game I have seen him play so far this season was against the Tigers, who did not have a ruckman. He has been pretty ordinary in the rest of the games. His kicking is poor and his ruckwork has not been up to his old, lofty standards. If he is not doing all the rucking, he needs to be up forward kicking goals and he has not had his kicking boots on at all. I hope he improves, but we don't have to just keep him in the side because we tried so hard to get him...

He took two marks in the F50, passed both off as he was on the wrong side for a leftie. The result was two goal assists.

Took a number of defensive marks. Positions himself well to be able to stop an attack.

He banged a long left footer into the goalsquare late in the game.

While he has not been up to his lofty standards, he has not been awful.
He is not young, and has surpassed Chambers efforts tenfold.
