    2's result

Just saw on Big Footy that we won by 34 points. The frightening thing is Bevo was in the best. Surely they wont put him back in the ones. Him and Jude in the one team is too much.

He is truly the dunce of class.

Cant wait for the first post of "but he is hard at it".

On a serious note though, Doyle got 4 goals and again Thornton was best with Laidlaw and Brabazon the draftees of 2005 in there. Same names keep bobbing up. have the selection panel got the balls of Mick Malthouse to promote en masse.

See the excellent match review in the Reserves v Belconnen thread you silly old duffer. Bevan did bugger all. Brabazon, Thornton and Laidlaw the best (except I think I got Thornton and Laidlaw confused at times - I thought Thornton was everywhere). Doyle was OK. Looked pretty mobile and did not limp off once.

Surely some of these quick reserves midfielders could be brought in (and allowed to play footy rather than be yet another tagger)?
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

My humble apologies ROK. Obviously it was your report. With the frenzy surrounding last nights debacle it looks to have been pushed off the front page.

Say what you like about Bevan but I reckon he is hard at it and that has got to count for something.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Brabazon is the interesting one. He was B&F in the WA Under 18 comp as a midfielder and that is no mean feat. The draft site on Big Footy rated him fairly highly as was Thornton.

You know with all Roosey's cunning and whereall knowledge you would think he would now be thinking of taking a few risks like other clubs, while we still having the nucleus of a strong core senior leadership group/team. How excited would our forwards be to be on the end of some deep and accurate kicking coming in fast and some quick centre breaks, instead of the rubbish served up by the likes of MCveigh, Crouch, Mathews and Bolton J.

Dunno Nico, to be onest I did not really notice him do much at all. Like Bevo, it wasn't until he kicked a goal at about the 20th minute o the 4th qtr that I realised he was playing, I don;t recall seeing White at all. That said, they all look the bloody same some days, and as mentioned above, I was not entirely focused on the match at all times.

They play in the ACT league. They have won the past 2 seasons (undefeated) and have not dropped a game this season. The 2 years (?) before that they did not win - I'm not sure they even played finals footy one year. I think that this is only the 5th year in. Belconnen are the local powerhouse. They have played in 7 of the last 8 grand finals I think, and won most of the ones the Swans have not.

Yep. They won the last 2, but not the year(s??) before.

He was unlucky to miss out due to player number restrictions.

So our total squad is currently sans Bucky, LRT, Kennelly, Dempster, DOK, VCE Currie as usual, plus the Swans decided Vogels needed a holiday in Melbourne. That means, if the status quo remains next week, we'll only have 17 Swans squad members available for the 2s. And 7 or so of them will be rookies. Queanbeyan Tigers-- you can do it! This is your big chance!

Why isn't Craig Bird cracking a game every week? He counts as one of the minimum 4 ring-ins, not one of the Swans squad members. Have they decided it doesn't matter 'cos we're gunna draft him anyway?
