We certainly missed Kennelly - the first few rounds he has been in career best form.

I dont think he had all that big an impact last year (for fairly obvious reasons) and I think he cost us the Geelong game.

It think the injury to dumpster has certainly exacerbated his absence.
He ate more cheese, than time allowed

      My thoughts as well top40.

I'd rather the Swans be known for destroying the opposition over 4 quarters rather than orchestrating stirring comebacks.

We'd have back to back flags if that were the case as well.

I'm sick of people thinking that starting badly must mean we will finish well because it has happened the past two seasons.

            - Jude Bolton, banished or re-invented in another position
            - McVeigh, either out of the team or small forward

Potentially Schmidt coming in for Ablett, just don't think he gives us anything 'special'.

            Thoughts?

i think malceski works well in defence, gives him more freedom to create an opportunity. someone else would be better suited to the tight contested football role, maybe jack

i also think ablett has been one of out better players this year, massive improvement, mainly in consistency

            definitely agree with mcveigh though

Some very interesting posts in this thread, I just wish I had said 'tipping point' first. I am not sure if our position is due to poor form or a weakness in our structure/gameplan that is being exploited. I guess the next 4 weeks will show this. It may well be the beginning of the slide...

However there are 3 areas where I'd like to see some changes:
              1. A plan B for the forward line. How about deliberately kicking to a contest, and having crumbers waiting for the spills? Someone may even take a contested mark!
              2. A plan B for defending from kick-outs. If man-on-man isn't working (ie. Adelaide) why not try the zone?
              3. More defensive pressure in our F50.
