Byron Pickett should he get pinged?

There has been a fair few people on radio this morning saying he should go for the tackle on Cornes because of his poor record. Also people were drawing the comparison to the tackle on Kennelly which also put him out for a while saying he should have gone for that. The rule says you can pin both arms but you are not allowed to sling them into the ground of which Byron didnt but does his record come into play?

    Thoughts?
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

I think Pickett is a thug and in general, a dirty player....

However, both of his tackles in these cases were legitimate and had no malice in them. They were just hard and unforgiving.

        RP is correct.

I've been a big critic of Pickett and the way he plays over the years, but in this case there was absolutely nothing in it.
He laid what has always been known as the perfect tackle, pinning the player's arms so he can't get a fair disposal away.
It was only bad luck for Cornes that Pickett's momentum carried him over the top and did the damage.
I'm sure if you ask Cornes, he would rather what happened than one of Byron's bone crunching headhigh shirtfronts.
