Eade, Melbourne's Neale Daniher, Essendon's Kevin Sheedy, and Sydney's Paul Roos are all likely to receive please explains from the AFL for comments about umpiring decisions after last weekend's games.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
In the Herald Sun on Sunday he said he was unhappy with the standard of the centre bounce on Saturday night so I assume it is related to that.
He was right to criticise. Some of it was terrible.
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

After reading the paper after asking the qn, you are right he sadi something along the lines of "I thought the umps won a few ruck contests" (With their awful bounces)
The gagging of coaches captains etc from speaking out against the umpires is becoming a joke. If the Players and the coaches have to be made accountable for their actions then why not the umpires. Their interpretations on the holding the ball, hands in the back and a miriad of other rules are inconsistent. They should not be beyond criticism and the coaches have every right to voice their concerns about the standard of umpiring particularly if a dodgy decision can turn the result of a game as was the case in Melb V Port on the weekend . However the AFL and Mr Geishan have other ideas.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Telstra has gagged anything to do with the umpires. I had a (nice?) piece on my blog about the umpires, getting stuck into the protectionism of the AFL over their whistleblowers - Telstra (Bigpond) saw fit to remove the post

thats just wrong - I wonder if they will have "umpire bagging cams" around their stadiums to make sure that no one in the crowd abuses the umps - because you will be caught!!!
