A WCE thread that's about footy...

    *gasp*

With Cox out with a back injury and the Cats in good flat-track bullying form, on their home patch I reckon they're a great chance of ending the Weagles' unbeaten run this weekend.

    So whaddaya reckon?

Yes! Eagles just aren't the same without their Cox.

One post in and it's not about footy anymore.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Even without Cox their midfield (Esp Judd and Kerr) are good enough to snag the ball from whichever ruckman gets the tap.

I'll stick with the Eagles. After all Geelong only beat Richmond.

Geelong have beaten 14th 15th and 16th. They are not up to it.
          WC by 5 goals.

I've tipped against the Illegals for the first time this year. I just think that the Cats have finally clicked as a team, and we all know how hard it is to beat them in sleepy hollow. There is also the chip on the shoulder of that Illegals comeback from last season thet the Cats will want to erase from the memory banks.

                Cats by 12 points.

As far as I'm concerned the Cats only have to win by one point - and I have gone with them. Again I will be hoping that they all get bad prawn sandwiches on the flight over.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Geelong thumped Richmond, unlike what Sydney and Wet Toast did. The likes of Mooney, N. Ablett and Hawkins can go berserk against the Eagles' tall defenders and I think they'll end the Eagles reign of terror.

I do so hope you are right - oh well - nothing would make me happier than to see West Coast taken down a peg or two. I'd also like to see it that Bomber Thompson has something to smile about. Go Cats - thats said in a "they are my second favourite team" kind of way.

I was so depressed when I woke up this morning after the Swans losing last night but seeing West Coast go down is making me happy again! Go Geelong!!!!

Great call on Geelong people, you guys know your stuff! However, it's only one game, and the Eagles were probably due for a loss. But at least we know they can still bleed.

I had no doubt the Cats were going to win. They won the majority of hitouts and clearances, Kerr was tagged to the point he didn't get a disposal in the second half and that stupid play by Armstrong was laughable (marks 10 metres from goal directly in front, decides to handpass it and they stuffed it and Geelong clear with the ball).

                              Good finally triumphed over evil!
