Players like Hall, will never get a fair go from the umpires because of the "Big Bad Bustling Barry Hall" reputation. Whereas the Reiwoldts, Hirds etc are given easy (read soft) free kicks because they have a reputation for being "clean" players. I am not saying that the above two examples are not good players because they are, but it's time all play was adjudicated on what actually happens, not what the reputation of the player is in the umpires minds.

the thing is - it doesnt surprise me that the AFL have their "favourites". Perhaps Andy D is still pissed off that he was proven wrong in 2005 so naturally none of our players would be on the list.
