    Such faint praise indeed...

Yup - agree with sWAns63. Port has terrific movement out of the clearances at the moment.

The game will be won there.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Port will run away with this game. It has Adelaide at the SCG last year written all over it.

For the first time in ages I`ve got my money on the opposition. Port by probably 4 - 5 goals. However, if the guys can prove me wrong and take this game out I`ll be wrapped.

            Caaarn Swannies! Prove me wrong.

If ever our boys have to give their all and show what they are made of,this is the week to do it.Port look as though they will be definate finals starters at this stage and are a proven good team in 2007 so this is our players big chance.I hope they grab it with both hands.

The power are playing good contested team orientated footy. We will get smashed by at least 50-60 points.

                But I hope I'm wrong.

Power by 22. I can't see a blow out of more than 4 goals at the SCG. Then again in Craig steps up like he did in the first couple of rounds (not saying he has been bad since) we may have a chance of losing by only ~12 points.

This is truly a must win home and away game if ever there was one.

There are three factors as to why the Swans must win.

Firstly and obviously, its a home game.

Secondly, Sydney have a massive motivation to win. By contrast, Port are on top of the ladder, and this away game against last year's Grand Finalist surely would have been pencilled in by them as a loss. They can't psychologically have nearly as such as strong a motiving force as Sydney must have.

Thirdly, there has been plenty of naval gazing, (meetings, video reviews, etc) around the club this week to warrant this game being in the Swan's eyes virtually a finals match.

Even though its only round 8, for those three mentally related issues in mind, a loss would be season destroying in my opinion.

                      Swans by 14.

Swans by 13 if Kennelly plays (and is actually fit). Port by 21 otherwise.

This is like the old 'will Joey get up to play for Newcastle this week?' bookies rorts.

I think our only chance of winning is for neither side to kick more than 10 goals.

contradicting you: if Sydney win, they will kick 4 goals in a 15 minute burst at some stage in the game.
