Yes it is, stop being sensible!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I realise that's a bit simplistic because some reasons the Swans fall behind is nothing to do with playing the containment game early (like the net six goals we gifted the Eagles in the first half of last year's Granny). But I do think it at least partly explains why the Swans generally seem to score very little in first halfs of games.
Hang on, we consistently get outscored in the first half because we are playing the containment game?

Just read the article. Geez, Crouch comes across as a complete knob. Maybe Nick Davis doesn't know the secret handshake (it's definitely not waving your arms around above your head).

He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

No thanks..... I've been avoiding it like the plague, and intend to keep it that way.

I think Spida's comments are totally different to Davo's - he was a bit petulant when (however unjustified) he should have sucked it up and taken his medicine for 2 weeks in the ressies.

With Spida, he was clearly stating the bleedin' obvious, and I don't see it as really any different from Baz's comments on his own form in his column today.

So now we know who the scapegoat is.

Spider is asked to make some un-bloods like comments. Crouch is then put up to knocking the newbie, some might say the poisonous, Spider back into line. Crouch says his bit but turns around, everyone is gone, he is suddenly the knob on the outer. Poor old Crouch, when you think about it he was the perfect candidate. Never really one of the clique, without a lot to offer skills wise, just plenty of spped and a pest-like mentality. Never one of the inner-inner-sanctum, but has played enough, and has the streak, to be well known enough to be a scapegoat. Crouch = career over, especially after Monday when Rooser asks him to agian speak to the media, and to tell all about how he feels. Crouch, with a little anger and alot of self-righteousness will make a totla fool of himself and united the team will become, with Crouch captain/coach of the best little side in the ACTAFL.

Crouch is yesterday's man. What did he say before the start of the season - something like I will give it my best shot to see if I can get back to the top level. If not so be it. Problem is he didn't train at full pelt until just before the season.

I like many others believe it was a correct move to drop him, but who made the brainwave decision to play or let him select himself in the first place. We are all guilty of making errors of judgement in our lives and someone at the Swans has made an absolute howler in this case.

Lets hope it is the domino affect and a few others who have continually played poorly suffer the same result.

One thing for sure he wont have to rush from Mass to make it to the ground early. Say a few prayers for Bolts and Bevo while you are there son.
