    Who was the fool...

...who brought up my "Crouch career over" thread when Crouch was named recently, and called me names? I reckon that I am still on the money. Goneski Crouchy.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Keep spruiking enough carp and you're bound to get close to the money occasionally.

That said, not convinced to say your totally wrong yet either, but regardless, the jury is still out.

I reckon that would be me, & I prefer "tool" to "fool" if you wouldn't mind.

Your suggestion was that his injuries meant he wouldn't play again. I don't think that's the case & I certainly hope it isn't as he's an important player for us until one of Moore, Jack or Bevan really steps up.

My suggestion is still that his body is not up to it. Form has little to do with it. He was a tagger, for whom pace was critical. With that gone, he has f-all. As for Moore, Jack or Bevan... I think that all three are different types of players than Crouch, but nonetheless, no of the youngsters will step up until they consistently get game time in the seniors. That wont happen until the older hacks get dropped.

This is a reasonable point if rather callously put in relation to a bloke who has given his all for this footy club. If Crouch doesn't play again he deserves our gratitude for his efforts, not derision.

Meh, if the pest played for anyone else, everyone here would hate him. That he played for so long with such seriuous injuries suggests he played for himself, more than for the team. Has not been part of the leadership group either.

Was named player of the finals series in 2005 by the Swans coaches - and deservedly so IMHO. Was pretty much the reason why the Swans were only four goals down against Geelong in that final quarter of the SF and at least managed to limit the impact of Judd in the second half of the GF.

Doubt we'd be 2005 premiers if he hadn't been for his super finals series.

He has also barely finished outside the top 10 in the club B&F since he established himself as a senior player, which indicates that until injury got the better of him, he pretty much went out every week and did his job.

Maybe the end is nigh, maybe he has a second wind left in him. But whichever way it turns out, I'm with giant on the kind of accolades he turns out. What we'd have thought of him had he played for a different club is irrelevant. He didn't. He plays in the R&W and he was there when the 72 year drought ended.

You got it in one Liz, because the same could be said of possibly all of the Swans players that we support. If they played for some-one else we wouldn't support them. It's not rocket surgery!

I thought it was rocket science. So if ROK is a Rocket Scientist he may very well be right. You might be reading the wrong text book.

Rocket surgery is a cross between rocket science and brain surgery! If you listened to "Skull" commentating the cricket, you would know that.
