Apart from McVeigh, who else is slipping this year?

Thought it about time we ease up off McVeigh and start having a look at some of our other players who's performance has been questionable.

I fo roone think that ROK has dropped off considerabley.

Goodes is another one that's struggling.

BBBBH has hardly set the world alight....

And MOL is only just serviceable.....

You could add Davo, Jude, Fossy to that list

Jude maybe. Davo is a bit off, but Fossy has been OK.

Doesn't, "ok", fall into the questionable catagory

I think that one of the positives about the "good" Swans is that a variety of players pop up from game to game but it isn't always the same person. Other than the way Goodes dominated the second half of last season (and bits of the first half) there are a dozen or so players capable of outstanding, match winning performances.

Not sure that O'Keefe has dropped off - he was relatively quiet in the first half of last year, he's been getting an even heavier tag thus far this year, and has still cropped up to have a couple of outstanding games. Hall was hampered by those injuries, which he looks to be just getting over now (judging by how much further he ran last weekend) but also hasn't been served well by the oppositions' uber-flooding, triple-teaming of him and his team mates' lack of ability to think their way around it.

Davis has only played a handful of games but - other than the one dreadful one against the Roos - I think he's been working harder and in a slightly different role to previous years. We may not have seen as much of the flashy side of him but I think he's probably added more overall to the team, while he's been in it.

For me, the three players who have really yet to show the level of performance they have in recent seasons are Jude, Goodsey and Monty. Hopefully great games from each of them are just around the corner.

Until Schneider learns to kick straight he deserves to be in this category also. For a guy who gets into goal scoring positions so often it is criminal that he misses so regularly.

Agree with Goodes, Jude and Amon. I think Davo, ROK and Fossie have all been amongst our best in most games.

Interesting that Hall said in his column today that Spida hasn't been great yet. If what we've seen is still only average then he'll be brilliant by finals time.

LOL.... we'll have to name the whole damn squad here if we're going to name those that have been "average" or "ok"....

              I guess what I'm saying is;

"Who has dropped off considerabley from last year and/or expectations????"

              In that vein, I nominate:

              McVeigh
              Hall
              Goodes
              ROK

These were all great players for us last year.....

O'Keefe has been one of our best this year!?!?

He has been in a slightly different role - and seems to be on HBF more often, but his performance shouldn't be rated on how many goals he kicks.....? Has been working hard, and getting plenty of it. Bizarre pick for mine.

Agree. ROK has played a bigger role around the ground and has been good to very good in some of the stuff he does. Some of his link work when we get our rung going has been pretty good.

I can't believe that ROK has been mentioned in this thread. I think he's a leading contender for our best and fairest.

Pretty close to the mark. From what I've seen, C Bolton is down on his very high standards of the last 2 years and Mathews is better. On balance, I'd say Jolly has been better, but agree his performances have been mixed. Richards would be at least same and probably better than his early 2006 form, but clearly worse than how he finished the year.

I think C Bolton has been sensational so far in a slightly different role to the last couple of years, given that he's had to cover LRT's normal opponents. I'd probably have him leading the B&F at this stage.
