I would have thought that the club website would have accurate information.
At quarter-time, the Swans led by ten points, and stretched the lead to 49 points by half-time. The third quarter saw a remarkable 12 goals kicked by the home team, followed by seven in the last term. The final score was Sydney 30.21 (201) to West Coast 10.11 (71) – the first time in the Club’s history that 30 goals had been kicked in a match.
This may have been the first time the Swans kicked 200+ points in a match, but the club record before that match was 31.9.195 v Footscray at the Lake Oval in 1979. I know because I was there, in the cheersquad, and we were exhausted by the end of the game.
If they mean it was the first time as Sydney, then they are correct, but in the context of the jumper change etc that was not the intendion of the article.
EDIT Just looked at this page AFL tables It wasn't even the first time they had scored 30 goals in Sydney, that happened against the Saints in 1982.
