I agree actually. Makes things a little more exciting when you develop a great rivalry.
I am sure the same happens to Port's SANFL rivals for example, I am sure they are happy when a Port player is rubbed out, or extra angry when a Port player gets off.
I know growing up in Tassie as a Glenorchy fan, you were much more excited if anything bad happened to Clarence, but interest levels in other clubs and other club players were a lot less intensified.Comment

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I think it's great, and healthy, for Sydney to have a hatred and rivalry.
FFS, I doubt Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon have any misgivings for their respective rivalries/hatred etc the clubs enjoy over each other. Good for the bottom line.
The more you look at it, the 60K we got to Rd 1 this year was just an incredible result. Early season games have never been big drawing games for the Swans.
Put it squarely on the shoulders of our rivalry and hatred for the Illegals.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

That is irrelevant. We don't get threads every time an opposition player gets reported - the focus on the likes of Kerr, Cousins and Judd reflects just how good they are.
I don't think there was a huge amount in the Judd incident though. I definitely don't believe it was deliberate given he couldn't see where his hands were. There was a not disimilar incident involving O'Loughlin and an Eagle not so long ago where there was contact to the face by O'Loughlin but he was just trying to protect himself and was unsighted. This one looks worse in the sense that Brown certainly looked like there was contact in - or very close - to his eye, but don't think Judd deserves to be suspended for something that looks accidental.
I want to see the great players play - not sit in the grandstand.Comment

It is relevant when comments are made that it's about the incident not the player, which, for example, GS14 said.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
