the main ingredient this week is tripe!

Look put simply - the soccer is a nothing game - its not life or death or related to WC qualifying and really its all a bit of a piss take, not a real competition but a revenue raiser.

The Wallabies - well waste of time watching them play the Wales "B' team - You can see them play the Wales "A" side in the real competition in a few months time - another W/C trip fund raiser - to enable the team to stay at the Ritz when in Paris. Anyone who thinks that the Wallabies have a smidgen of a chance at winning the world cup are dreamin. I was talking to former captain, Tony Shaw a week or so ago (he works for us) and he reckons we might as well not go - New Zealand is the team to beat - we are so far down the scale on current form. He's not even going over for it - and normally its a given that he goes but he said to me he couldnt be arsed!

So I'd pick the Swans, its a competition for the here and now - its not a pretend friendly touchy feely type of game - its a premiership comp game and if we win - well up the ladder again we go - this is not to be missed.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

sorry guys but I won tickets to the Socceroos game and I met Lucas Neil too, the tickets are in a members area I think. I was at Parra Westfields where the socceroos were signing autographs. Looks like I will be taping the swans. Unless maybe I can sell the tickets and buy swannies ones instead
2005, year of the swan, Demetriou was wrong so we sing this song...

"Cheer, cheer the red and the white,
Honour the name by day and by night....."

Don't know if you'd get much for the tickets - especially since the Aussies have their "B" team playing.

Consider this, possible players missing - Kewell, Viduka, Bresciano, Schwarzer, Grella, Skoko, Moore, Aloisi and Chipperfield!!!

Could almost make up another team from the above.
