Stupidest Game I have seen in a long time

What a crazy game. We made so many clangers. We were indecisive. We had so many players who played below their best. And we lose by only a point. We also had bad umpiring to contend with.

It's times like these you wonder why do I love this game? AFL is frustrating!!!

Amon, Amon Amon!!! the Clanger king almost was the hero in the end.

It was exactly the same way the Roos and StK beat us. Teams have worked us out. All it takes is for the opposition to play one particular style and we struggle.

Our coach's plan B is to let the team select itself.

I said the same thing during the game.

Handballed directly to opponents at least 3 or 4 times.

Even The Eski kicked a shocker.

Its concerning me greatly that we agree so much these days.

We know there's no plan be and that Roos is not a very good tactician. We established that. We must rely on players to do something creative during the game, but we also established that we don't have enough players that can think like that. So, we'll probably see more games like this this year and it is quite possible some changes at the end of the season as a result of it.

How many of the disposal errors were linked to the conditions, and how many were just bad skills/decisions? Essendon didn't seem to make nearly as many as we did, which would suggest the latter, but I suppose I was focusing more on the Sydney players.

It was really slippery out there, it was quite noticeable in the reserves game and the legends game. Did some one water the pitch again?

Sydney can not cope with the flood, because of our refusal to move the ball quickly and kick to a contest. If Hall is being double or triple-teamed, that means there are one or two free players. If we can't find them, just get it in to a contest, if the opposition are flooding and we don't take a mark or win a free, forward defensive pressure should result in a stoppage or turnover more than half of the time. (i.e. it's difficult for the opposition to rebound quickly if they have 16 men in D50)
