    Why all the negativity?

We weren't that bad tonight. We only lost by a point, to another average side. Don't underestimate the emotional power and impact that James Hird playing his last game at the SCG would have had on the Bombers - they would have been pumped. And with the hill missing it's hardly like our home ground any more. I think Sydney got far muddier than Essendon, and that shows courage and endeavour. They tried really hard - some supporters could give some SUPPORT and stop the whingeing!

    We weren't poor tonight.

We were just beaten by a faster, harder and more skillful opponent who did not let us play our game. Essendon were just superior all night, even when Sydney threw everything at them they were just relentless. Not much that can be done except try again next week.

yeah. yeah... i was thinking walking home after the game that it wasn't that Essendon didn't deserve to win the game - they probably did. But lots of times the team that deserves to win doesn't. I honestly think we was robbed by some very ordinary decisions. If that's negative, fine.
