Should we get in early on Saturday and start booing the umpires as soon as they come on the ground? It would save having to choose between booing and singing "Cheer, cheer" at the end of the match.
With regards to booing...

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I actually didn't sit there watching the game getting pissed with the umpires.
I felt there were a few poor decisions, but this happens every game.
Maybe everyone is so up tight about it given the way the game went.
And I actually think the umpires are copping a bit of unfair treatment.
Their job is to regulate the game as best as they can.
If they can't see an out of bounds clearly, then they follow the rule of how to act in that circumstance.
There will be times when umpires are out of position, and I think given the way the game can change so quickly, they do a reasonable job.
If the gripes are about the unfairness of the new hands in the back rule and how it impacts on our team and in particular Barry Hall, the lobby the AFL to change the rule.
Poor decisions have been blamed for game losses for as long as I can remember.
There are a plethora of things being disputed from the last game, from the incorrect umpires decisions, to the padding on the goal post, to the unfairness of the rules in place.
In the end the Swans lost the game.
Had we played better we would have won, and everything being disputed here wouldn't be disputed at all.
My point is, if you need to boo anyone, think about it and boo the AFL.
They make the rules that the umpires are obligated to follow.
They set the standards for the number of umpires officiating.
The make the new rules up as they go.
They restrict clubs from commenting on anything negative in the press.
They are Big Brothering the game IMO, and the game WILL suffer. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

I'm over the booing debate now.
Let's talk about drugs testing in the AFL and whether the players should be obliged to be tested in their workplace and whether it is justified because some people say that they are 'role models' and if they are indeed role models, and if the amount they are paid justifies in some way the drug testing.
That should be a fun chatThe difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

Every free we give away, the offending player/s should say "Great decision ump - I made a crap tackle or something like that.... " to the umps. "I will try not to do that in the future......" I am a good player and I am trying to learn from my mistakes.......!
The boys with the whistles are always right and we need to play by the rules. Even when they are wrong they are right. We are in a loose - loose situation. We have to learn this lesson and get on with it. I don't ever recall seeing a game result changed by bad umpiring being reversed.
The league will not allow one side to direct how the umpires direct the game and we need to be seen to be following the leagues directions.
We will be put in our box either on the ground, in the back rooms of the locker room or by media. Be seen to be toeing the corporate line in the short term.
And if you are going to give away a free kick, make it worth it!

I booed and threw my footy record at the knob sitting across from us - I told him to go away and fornicate. I know that its unladylike but he really got on my tits!- but I apologised to the police standing behind me for saying it- they said it was fine and that they could see this bloke was antagonsing everyone - he was going to be thrown out before I was) But we were leaving as the umps were going to the rooms - I have never heard the crowd get so worked up - but at the end of the day - the AFL will never admit they are wrong - so we just have to live with it I guess.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
