Going to see the swans in Sydney

Being from the wonderful city of Melbourne, and not getting the chance to head up to Sydney very often.... believe it or not, I've actually never been to a Sydney home game!!!

But all this is about to change, as I'll be up in Sydney on the 15th July.
I plan to be there Cheering us on while we smash the Blues!
I'll get in early as the SCG hasn't exactly got the biggest capacity at the moment.

I was checking ticket prices and was gobsmacked!! Are ticket proces always this expensive for AFL matches in Sydney? $36 for the cheap seats!! that's insane.... no wonder they took so long to get a dencent following in Sydney. Ticket prices in Melbourne are half that amount.
    Ed Considine's day out - Round 3, 16th April 1995.
11 Kicks, 13 Handballs, 8 Marks, 1 Goal, 1 Behind, 1 Tackle, 1 Hitout, 3 Brownlow votes (his only votes)

Yeah they do charge a bit here, but prior to the redevelopment starting, they did offer G.A tickets that were around $21 each, but obviously that isn't going to return for another year.

You can get $20 tickets to Telstra matches also. They are on the top level.

GA tickets are normally around the $20, $22ish mark.

Of course you will have to sit in a construction site if you want a GA ticket this year. So what you're seeing is the cheapest reserved seats (concourse).

But yes, we get ripped off for footy in Sydney.

Parking at the MCG - $6

Parking at the SCG - $20

      Enjoy!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I hope people in Melbourne now understand why we need the special loading for our salary cap, things are just a bit more expensive around here.

            No, they ride bikes.

Probably true as most of them live quite close to the SCG and I am not sure if all of them get a carspace there.

Pretty sure they have to pay for parking elsewhere though.....

Can't complain though as Perth is even worst, $4.50 for a flat white served in a paper cup @#$!*&^....

At the SCG, you pay $20 and than you have to walk more than 100 m

When I went to a WAFL game recently people parked their cars INSIDE the ground and for FREE! I suggest we halve the Eagles salary cap on that basis.
