    Predictions???

Matthews....his career best form (ordinary to any other senior player)seems to have come to screaming halt...Bateman ran rings around him
Schmitt was good, lets hope he holds his spot.

I guess the question is will Schmidt retain his place in the side?

          Kennelly out, Grundy in?
          Or more likely Ablett in.

Schmidt deserves to stay in the team after yesterday's performance.

Naturally I'm hoping Laidlaw comes in for Tadhg.

Ablett if fit for Bumbling Benny....yesterday he tried hard but was just that bit too slow especially against the gorgeous Bateman.(I've got to stop going to those Hawthorn games in Launceston as I'm getting to like some of those players). It was more obvious in the flesh than it has been on the TV.(Benny's slowness not Bateman's gorgeousness)

Kennelly out and Ablett back in.
Would like to see McVeigh out and one of the youngsters in as well.

Ablett for Kennelly and Crouch for Bevan.

Hopefully we will also see LRT back within three weeks, but how goes for him?

Collingwood are a very mature and physical team, so I can't see us throwing someone like Laidlaw in for this one, but on the longer ground at Telstra we could really use some younger legs to carry the lines.

Going to be a massive game against the Pies, a real top 4 crunch game for us and to a lesser extent the Pies.

Collingwood mature....haven't they got quite a few first year players who are younger than Laidlaw?????????

I understand the regular default Bevan hatred that folks have, but I honestly think he has been pretty good in this recent run of games.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Lets face it we dont make changes so all the wishful thinking in the world won't get any of the youngsters a game

But this time there are exciuses - the reserves didnt play this week...they dont play next week...so the likes of Laidlaw etc dont get a chance to push their cases any more. LRT doesnt get a chance to get match-fit.

Therefore the only change will be out Kennelly, in Ablett.
Unless of course Tadhg's recuperative powers come to the fore and he gets back....therefore dare i suggest it...out Schmidt or Bevan, in Ablett...and the way we select teams, it might be back on the rollercoaster Timmy!!!

Mind you...i'm with Stella...i thought Bevan has been a little better lately

I agree - though I have been too fearful of my safety to say anything.

Don't Collingwood have plenty of young players?

Ben did some good things on Saturday but definitely not a good matchup on Bateman
Anyway, thread about Schmidt - did good. Please keep.
