Skilled is the worst road trip and the worst venue for a visiting team. Parochial just doesn't seem adequate in this instance.
Ferral is more of a word i would use.I went down there last year and sat with a Cats supporter mate and i reckon he gave me just as much @@@@ as the other Ferrals, you have a look at them all and they all have a scar on there shoulder.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

All those losing grand finals probably does scar them for life!!

If they get up me I will just say "Nick Davis and those 4 last quarter magical goals". That'll shut them up!

My tossa mate reckons the "05" premership should be theres and that they were robbed.I just tell him that theres no way they would have beaten wet toast and that just pisses him of more with great pleasure to me.

          1. The crowd is VERY parochial
          2. Buying tickets through Ticketmaster means you are sitting next to CATS fans.
          3. It takes forever to leave.
          4. The weather is usually very ordinary (they have their own climate down there).

I would suggest you park several streets away, then walk very quickly back to your car at the end of the match.
          Cheers for that!

          1. Parochial I can cope with!
          2. I got my tix through the Melbourne office so hopefully will be among friends!
          3. Leaving... ummmm...Is there a train station near the ground or something - is it possible to park at a station up the line and catch the train over?
          4. Inclement weather... there goes the hair!

Apparently South Geelong is the closest station - just a 5 minute walk to the ground.

That's the Cheer Squad sitting there - no idea where the public area is.

Cheer Squad sit to the right of the new stand right next to all the Auskickers who have fun cheering against the cheersquad. Public area is to the left of the new stand.

There are some seats left for sale on the day of the game, this is a condition that the Geelong Football Club made with the City of Greater Geelong to give the ordinary family a fair go. You'd need to be there when the gates open I would think.

There's lots of street parking around Kardinia Park, most of it all day, but like anywhere the later you get there the further you have to walk.

South Geelong station is a five minute walk, Geelong station is a 20 minute walk. (My place is a one minute walk)

Just a reminder that Geelong is drier than Melbourne, but windier, its windy in Geelong 90% of the time, and it only rains when Geelong have a home game so bring the poncho!

Where the general public can go (people who aren't Geelong members).
You can also buy tickets in the grandstand if you want to pay premium price.

Not with the Cheer Squad - but I would assume it would be in a group.

I got my tickets today but i'm very confused by it all. I got two tickets from ticketmaster in Bay 2 of the Doug Wade stand and then a thing from the Swans saying "Please note that as the tickets purchased are only the reserved seats, so you must use your Sydney Swas Membership card to gain entry. *Please note your 2 tickets do include entry"

                            wth does that mean?

Thats where you will probably find Royboy42, minus his 26oz beer and hot roasted peanuts. It's a blast from the past - standing room on the terraces. I've been there a couple of times and had a ball (luckily had good weather though). The only unfortunate thing is that it is up back behind the railway end goals, and with Kardinia being almost as long as Subi, that means that you are often a long, long way from the action.

See if you can sell your tickets now.....

Based on Saturdays perfromance, we're in for a 20 goal smashing against Geelong.
