There was a comeback?

Doubt it mattered anyway. Game was gone at 3QT. We were never going to kick a big enough score in the last quarter to win - we were not capable of coming back from 39 points down last night (or pretty much any time this year).

Also can't agree re Richards...pretty useless last night & basically most of the time apart from the second half of last year when he played some nice games. Sheedy is not that bad a judge. His little farce with Thomas was right in front of me...you could see it coming as he quite pathetically did nothing...the scared rabbit look was prominent, while the real footballer (is he yet 19?) just played him on a break.

I thought Richards was one of only three or four half decent players yesterday. That incident with Thomas stands-out, but Thomas is a very clever player, much more nimble than Richards, and sometimes defenders do get turned inside out by clever forwards. We saw Franklin do it to Bolton in the Hawks game but none of us would say that makes Bolton a dud.

Apart from that one incident, I thought Richards got to contests he should have got to, spoiled well and was effective in clearing the ball from defence.

He's not a star but doesn't deserve to be lambasted for yesterday's game.

I'm not normally one to stick up for Ted, but I thought he was amongst our best. He's not in danger of picking up brownlow votes, but I thought he did pretty well.
