    Footy 101

    1. If you kick the ball SIDEWAYS when clearing the ball from defence, the opposition will have time to run into your forward line, causing congestion and blocking space for your forwards to lead.

    2. If after a kick in, you run and kick the ball FORWARD with ALACRITY the opposition will struggle to man up and your forwards will have plenty of space to lead into.

    3. Take note Paul Bevan - when the opposition takes possession of the ball in their forward line ALWAYS TACKLE NEVER GO THE BUMP.

    4. Kick the ball to the space where the player is leading NOT AT THE PLAYER

    5. Barry Hall - if you are stuggling to find space in the forward due to players up field not taking note of point 1, move up the ground to clear the forward line or dummy lead to create space for other forwards. Don't be a selfish @@@@.

    6. When delivering the ball into the forward line, the most dangerous way to do so is through the corridor, not from the boundary line to a wide lead

    8. For backman, playing the percentages means playing in front. If you play from behind, the odds are against you, particularly with the new touch on the back rule.

Our illustrious coach needs to come up with some new ideas. This is about the fourth game this year where the opposition have smashed us with the same basic strategy.

He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

    Yep, agreed.

Another one, don't give the ball to a stationary player.

Barry Hall is not always the best player to kick to.

How poor was that? It is not the first time he has done that. But if you are going the bump, hit them hard, and put them down.
