It looks like we probably will miss the finals the best we can hope for is 7 or 8 position now, even if we beat Geelong which is very doubtful

Nah, we will scrape in. The run home looks pretty good, and I daresay we will win enough of those to secure 8th spot.

I would be asking the team to put on a Barby for supporters or at least donate their match payments from last nights game to the Starlight foundation! I might fax them with that suggestion.

In fact it is now a relief. It is like the good old days when I woull start to pick who I was going to barrack for in the finals by round 3.

Its possible that 12 wins may secure a Finals spot, but more probable 13 will be required. We need to win 7 out of the next 10, which include 3 road trips to Geelong, West Coast and Collingwood - none of which we look like having a hope of winning. That leaves us needing to win all the other 7 'winnable' games - which on our present form is highly unlikely.

Unfortunately there's going to be no repeat of the last 2 years - we're just not good enough.

The position we are in at the moment is not good, but the bright side is that if we make the finals we will be in winning form and therefore have a chance against the other teams in the finals.
