How has Jesse White's form been in the seconds? He was out for a while with a hand injury, but has he been otherwise solid?

If Baz is rested he could be worth a run from the preseason hype he got?

It is dangerous replacing too many players in one go, but it would be nice to see some of the kids running around. Baptism of fire anyhow....

It's counter intuitive, but something tells me we'll beat Geelong this week, regardless of personnel.

I wanna see big JW brought in! Give us a young star Roosy!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

If you are looking for a shelacking this week and therefore another hammering of what is left of our confidence then by all means drop half a dozen blokes and play kids.

That should see us finish mid table on 10 wins neither getting a good early draft pick or playing finals.

I beleive the current team deserves one more chance against Geelong to ensure an even level of performace with maybe the addition of LRT and Davis this week.

We should then aim to give three or four youngsters games against Fremantle & Carlton, with whoever performs well enough retained for the West Coast game.

So all up two changes this week.

              In: Davis & LRT
              Out: Grundy & Bevan

                Who suggested this?

Why do you think they deserve one more chance?

I base my one last chance more on the quality of the opposition this week over anything else.

But in all honesty while they are playing below what we expect we are still by no means a team that has dropped it's bundle as we are 6 and 6 with a decent %.

Therefore I would like to see us introduce some young guys into the team over the next couple of weeks when the match-ups are right and gives these youngsters a chance to do well and retain their spots. This is not going to happen if we throw in 4 youngsters lose by 10 goals and then have them dropped from the team the next week.

Home games against both Carlton & Freo give us the perfect opportunity to drop in 2 or 3 youngsters with the hope that as a team we can absorb them and the team can benefit from their injection of enthuasiam.

I actually reckon that this week is as good as any to throw caution to the wind. Even had the Swans played creditably on Saturday and won the game, few would give them much chance of beating Geelong this weekend. So it is almost a "nothing to lose" game. In contrast, the Carlton and Freo games are winnable, given that a fortnight ago this team was playing reasonable football and that doesn't completely disappear overnight.

One "positive" about the upcoming game is that Geelong are likely to back themselves and not flood Sydney's forward line. They've been pretty intense at the contest all season but there's no reason for them to take it to another level against us as the likes of Essendon and the Pies have done. So we'll go into this game as the hunter, rather than the hunted, and that might just make a difference if Kirky can inspire his midfield comrades to do everything to regain a modicum of pride.

Roos has a tried and true response to a bad loss:

Let the senior players pick the team.

In: Crouch (injured and done nothing, but has won a flag a few years back)
Out: Schmidt (playing well, but doesnt know the right people).

Davis wont get a game because Kirk blames him for the loss.

I remember the talk of giving him a nickname preseason too - I think it should be Big W! (Or Target if you prefer the derivatives)

                          Pretty ordinary on the whole.

If they're looking to bring in a tallish forward from the reserves, Vogels is the obvious choice.

                            I think it`s time..............

.....we brought in a few young kids from the 2nd`s and give a few of the out of fitness older guys a rest. I know we`re coming up against some quality sides in the next month, but hey!, maybe that`s just what this side needs at the moment. Some new Young BLOODS.

Geelong/Hawks/ & Pies seem to be doing OK with their new kids.

Thats because the teams were severely under performing for a number of years. We haven't got there.....Yet.
