    Pies and Hawks have benefitted from mediocrity and the subsequent high draft picks, whereas Geelong has benefitted from father/son advantages.

    The Swans highest pick of the last few years seems more concerned about stopping an opponent than actually trying to win the ball, at times to the detriment of the so called team ethos.

      I fail to understand how with the success of Kennelly, we didnt get more Irishmen over to the swans. Use Kennelly in the negotiations.

      Senata O'Halpin and
      Martin Clarke would make us a lot better team

      (appologies for misspelling of names).

          Only likely replacements for remainder of the season are Roberts-Thomson, Crouch, Kennelly, Davis and possibly Vogels.

          Of the above we may see Roberts-Thomson and Davis in this week - With all the rain in Melbourne this week I wouldn't think they'd drop a scragger like Bevan but perhaps once again drop Grundy and either Schmidt (which I don't agree with) or a midfielder who has to realise that he has to do a bit more to earn his spot in this team!!!

              Yeah, i just saw it on the Swans website. It's going to be so weird not seeing Barry out there.

                Well, I for one hope this is accurate. We need Bazza fit and firing at the business end and even if we lose this weekend, we should make the eight. With Davo back, Matty Laidlaw and Thornton in, I reckon we'll go OK. Couldn't be any worse than last week anyway......

                  It's gonna be very interesting to see the outs if it's all accurate.

                  In: Davis, LRT, Laidlaw, Thornton
                  Out: Barry, ???

                      If that report is correct that's five changes including Barry Hall...alot of changes. Will be interesting might have to go to the game now.

                          My guess is Davo = Bazza, LRT = Bevan, Laidlaw = Buchanan(he's on the injury list) and hopefully (but I doubt) Thornton for McVeigh.
                          But I actually have no idea as I'm not really up on positions and player attributes etc, thats just what I'd like to see

                              hmmm, interesting my thoughts on ins/outs;

                              INS: LRT, DAVIS, VOGELS

                              OUTS: HALL, MCVEIGH, GRUNDY

                                Makes it tougher to win now but they'll have to play a different way, so who knows.
