Hey fellow mid-season wrist-slitters,
Am wanting to test the waters to see how (or indeed, if) people are getting to the Geelong match this Saturday. I'm not expecting a horribly fun afternoon to be honest, both in terms of the weather or the result. But am heading on down to Corio Bay regardless to try & get the boys up. We may well enjoy having people to share the day with, especially if we come home both drenched and seeing our team possibly kick 2 goals until half time.
To those of you who are going, how are you getting down there? Are any going by train? If so, how much does it cost? And which is the best train to catch, both down & back? I see those funky looking trains pass through Seddon every day. So I would like to eventually go on one. Maybe people getting on at Southern Cross can save me a seat or something so we can all go down together in a group? Do the V-Line trains have designated seating?
Anyone wanting to do anything in Geelong at all? I'm aware that several RWOers live in that area. So we in the Swans family may well want to go out to somewhere warm and dry after the game.
So, get to it groovers. Who is going to Geelong? Where are you sitting? And how are you getting there? And if so, at what time?
You never know. The team may give us reason to enjoy the day more. But if not, we have to entertain ourselves to at least make the best of things.
JF
PS:- Any chance of a sticky for this thread for this week mods?
